This course is specific to surgeons Medical malpractice defense and clinical experts will share their insights to help you improve your documentation. This live-streamed activity will be a discussion utilizing case examples to identify gaps in documentation and how that impacted defense of a malpractice case and examples of when documentation helped in the defense of the allegation of patient harm. There will be time for discussion to allow all participants to ask specific questions and learn from our experts. The team will provide practical takeaways that the learner can implement to strengthen their clinical documentation, which will improve patient care and engagement, and support the clinician if named in a medical malpractice case. The learner will also gain insights into the medical malpractice process.
